Startling video from James O'Keefe's Project Veritas today where their investigators spoke with police from NC to NY on what to do in between the time you may call for help and when police arrive.
The honest and frank responses from the police are surprising (not surprising). Some samples:
- North Carolina: “We try. We can’t always get there.”
- New Jersey: “Lock yourself in a bedroom, start yelling and screaming.”
- New York: “It’s 2013. It’s the United States of America. You lock your doors and you hope nothing happens.”
It is my duty ... MY RIGHT ... to protect my family by any means necessary. If someone broke into our home, yelling would not appease to their humanity. They're criminals. They're law breakers and have no regard for rules or laws or common decency. Our yelling at those criminals would come from instructing them to get off our property and it would come from behind the barrel of a gun. Their decision to listen will determine their fate. All bets are off. You're on your own.
My Family. My Choice. My Right.
