The Occupiers vs The Tea Party

Do you think President 0bama is correct in believing the Occupy Wall Street and other "occupy" protests happening across our country are just like those of the Tea Party?

Think again.

Still unconvinced of the differences?

The awesome that is John Nolte has provided a detailed Rap Sheet So Far from the occupy crowds. My oh my how the list grows daily! Nothing like this from any of the Tea Party events though.

More factual differences between the occupiers and the Tea Party by Blogodidact at the jump here. Be sure to check it out.

So many differences in message, in tone and in respect for others, yet President 0bama supports the occupiers as they spew hate, anti-semitism, anti-military, and class and race warfare. He believes in their message and action of destruction, violence, vandalization, rape, theft and breaking the law if necessary.

How can he support such violence and hate?

Could his support be part of his plan to fundamentally transform the United State of America? Just as he promised all along? Fundamentally change our country to become a socialist nation of individuals wanting and requiring more government in their lives? As each day passes, my answer remains a solid, firm yes.

The Campaigner-in-Chief once said I don't want to pit Red America against Blue America. I want to be the President of the United States of America."

If he didn't want it pit one against the other, he'd call up his teleprompter and denounce the accusations of racism towards his policies and administration as untrue. If he didn't want to pit one against the other, he'd denounce class warfare in our society that is becoming more and more dangerous. If he didn't want to pit American against American, he'd stand up against race warfare surrounding our communities.

But instead we hear nothing and his silence speaks volumes. The plan to destroy from within is well on its way, but we still have time to change that path.

Facts are stubborn things my friends and President 0bama has a record. The occupiers are just another piece to his record. They're on his watch. They're on HIS record. The occupiers are speaking for him and he supports their voice.

The occupiers are NOT the Tea Party. Not now. Not ever.

Remember in November 2012.

Don't leave it to someone else. You ARE someone else!

Texas Voting on Constitutional Amendments, School Board Trustees and Houston Mayor ... OH MY!

Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote. ~ George Jean Nathan

Will you be one of the good citizens who doesn't vote because you feel your vote won't make a difference or because you forgot or you have a hair appointment or you just don't care and you really don't complain either?  Please reconsider and vote today!

Yes, most of us already have our eye on the 2012 Presidential election, but lets not forget that early voting starts TODAY for State of Texas Constitutional Amendments, Houston Mayor, Houston City Council positions, and School District Trustee positions.  Each of these is very important so get out there and vote!

Don't know where to go in Harris County?

Need to vote by mail?  Next Tuesday, November 1st is the LAST DAY TO APPLY for Ballot by Mail (they must be received by this date, not postmarked)

No clue what contests or candidates will appear on the ballot for every political subdivision on the Harris County Joint Election?

Would you just prefer to just see where YOU can vote and what specifically will be on YOUR ballot?

State of Texas Constitutional Amendments will be voted on this round and there are ten (10) Legislative propositions on the ballot.  Please review them in advance of arriving at your polling station so you can cast an informed vote on each.

The Texas Conservative has an outstanding breakdown of what you're voting for if you vote straight "FOR" or yes, on each of the proposed Constitutional Amendments.  Check it out here.

Need more analysis of the Constitutional Amendments?  Ask and you shall receive:

I know, I know.

This is a lot of information to take in, but you have plenty of time left to be informed on what and who you'll be voting for ... and ultimately against.  Early Voting begins today, October 24th and runs through Friday, November 4th.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th ... but you can early vote now to avoid the crowds!

In my own Cypress area, I personally endorse Kelly Horsley for Cy-Fair ISD Board of Trustees Position 1!

I've known Kelly for years and am proud to add my name to her impressive list of endorsements. Kelly has Cy-Fair close to her heart as a resident and graduate of Cypress Fairbanks High School.  As a wife, mother to three boys and small business owner, Kelly understands how to look within a budget and expenses to ensure Cy-Fair ISD lives within its means. The transparency we currently have within Cy-Fair is poor and Kelly's proposal of a monthly townhall meeting would be greatly welcomed.

It's time for Cy-Fair to vote in Kelly Horsley as a board member who:
  • believes in parents rights and involvement in their children's education is essential.
  • understands Cy-Fair is a destination district for exceptional education.
  • is a strong advocate for teachers and students at the state legislative level as she has experience working with state legislators.
  • believes in limited governmental intervention in the education process.
  • will fight for lower taxes of Cy-Fair residents.

My Cy-Fair friends and family, please vote for Kelly Horsley for Cy-Fair ISD Board of Trustees Position 1.   She will bring Cy-Fair ISD back into the hands of parents and small business owners and out of the hands of education bureaucrats!

And while I live outside the Houston city limits, I also personally endorse Fernando Herrera for Houston Mayor. His ABC approach to the budget is Absolute, Beneficial and Convenient.
"As a Deputy Chief in the Houston Fire Department, I have been responsible for multi-million dollar budgets. I’ve supervised numerous employees in an office environment as well as hundreds of first responders in environments that are immediately dangerous to both life and health. My 30 years as an emergency responder, combined with my experience starting and successfully managing a manufacturing company for 14 years, provide a unique perspective and management style that will serve Houston well."
Fernando's experience and pledge to Houston is uncompromising and dedicated.

The Houston Chronicle says Mayor Annise Parker must win big to set the tone for her second term, but their "tone" is that she'll win with no problem.  With the lowest approval rating in decades, does she deserve re-election?  No.  Mayor Parker called tea party activists "teabaggers" when promoting The Houston Rain Tax or "Rebuild Houston" fund.  This fund has since morphed into bike trails.  Saying you're fiscally conservative doesn't make it true and isn't enough.

Has Houston squandered an opportunity for a Republican Mayor?  Houstonians, you can make a difference!

Fantastic video from Fernando here. It is time for leadership for a new era in the city of Houston!  Be sure to check out his website, videos and endorsements: www.voteFernandoHerrera.com.

Every candidate for the Houston City Election 2011 at the jump here.

So there you have it, my friends.  One stop shopping for all that is voting in 2011 for Harris County and Texas this election round.

Please don't throw your vote away by staying home.

Get out there, vote and use one of the freedoms millions across the world would die to have for their own.  And honor those who have died for our country defending our freedoms.

Dwight D. Eisenhower once said "the future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter."

It's in your hands so go vote today!

Forbes Endorsement of Rick Perry for President

Outstanding news from the Rick Perry for President campaign today:

I'm looking forward to hearing more about Rick Perry's Flat Tax plan on Tuesday, 10/25!

I agree it is time to "plan to cut, balance and grow.  It's time to eliminate the current tax code and replace it with a fairer, flatter tax."

Full video of Forbes' endorsement of Governor Perry can be found at the jump here.

To My Readers, I Thank You!

When I first found out I won CBS Houston's Most Valuable Blogger - Local Affairs a few weeks ago, this is probably the look I had on my face ... less the white mousiness.  Ha!

Cutesy Mouse pic found at nickholmes.tumblr.com

So when I received my award today in the mail, it reminded me of how fortunate I am to have your support.

Thanks again!  I hope to keep you informed and entertained for many years to come! Yeah, you have been warned.  :)

Happy Friday Eve, y'all!

Thank You Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs' innovation changed the world.

Photo Courtesy of Cindy Marvin Tourison

There will be many tributes to him over the next several days. As I compose, edit and hit submit for this blog post from my iPhone, I must say thanks to Steve Jobs for inventing products to help me communicate so effectively and efficiently.

Please watch, enjoy and share Jobs' 2005 commencement speech at Stanford below. It's lengthy for our ADD world ... ok, my ADD world :) ... but it's worth every minute.

Great words from a great man. Trust yourself. Follow your heart. Don't settle.

Rest In Peace, Steve Jobs. May your family have comfort your legacy will live on and that you're looking down on us smiling from the big iCloud in the sky.

Stay hungry.

Stay foolish.
